Rear end feels "detached"

Post by Yellow2 »

PROBLEM : Car feels like rear end is "detached when driving. Changes lanes randomly and hard to keep straight on the road.

SOLUTION : Subframe bushings need replacing right away!

How Do I Know? : Car was a nightmare to drive when the second one broke on a trip back from charlotte. I was in a thunderstorm and the thing wanted to switch lanes without me even touching the steering wheel. A Very dangerous situation that could get you in trouble fast.

FIX: Contact Da Parts Pimp or Steve haygood for new ones ASAP. I got mine and spent the afternoon installing them without the special tool. Talk to them about getting the tool or what works best. Mine worked fairly well with a blowtorch and a screwdriver/hammer combo, but the tool i hear is second to none for fixing it. A set should run you about $40 shipped maybe more. I forgot how much i got mine for. We have discussed in previous post that filling them with the polyfill will make the car very stiff feeling and is reccomended for track use only.
