I'll be there with my girlfriend, probably in my E30 but maybe I'll still see some of you old guys with your E28s.

Umm. Hey guys. A little birdy keep chirping in my ear about this event. What are the chances I can find a place to share a hotel room and split costs?

Wifey is staying home this year, happy to split a room with someone. I'm booked at the Hawthorne.

It will. I think Randy and Tim got their room at the host hotel with less than a week to go last year.

Did you call or did you try online? There have been at least 3 occasions where people have called and the boneheads at the front desk have told them there are no rooms available when there clearly were still rooms.

Neither. I was going off of ldsbeaker's word.

Edit: I just called and she said there aren't any rooms left in the entire hotel, not just in the group rate.

There's obviously a convention or something else going on this same weekend because all the downtown hotels are booked up.

This Holiday Inn Express is only about 5 minutes from Old Salem and the best part....THEY HAVE ROOMS!

Holiday Inn Express
Winston Salem Downtown West
110 Miller Street Winston-Salem , North Carolina 27103
Hotel Front Desk: 1-336-721-0220

The hotel is right next store to a good pizza place (Mario's), and an easy walk to the grocery store for beer or snacks.
